Tips for incoming Thomasians.

An attempt to help future Thomasians get through UST life.

  1. Please don’t settle for the carpark for meals. You want good food at affordable prices? Explore Dapitan and P. Noval.

  2. Sync your watches to the universal UST time seen on the big digital clocks you find around UST premises. The ones that look like count downs to the end of the world. Yup. Those. It’s to avoid confusion with your prof whether you’re late or not.
  3. Never leave for UST without an umbrella.
  4. Use sunscreen.
  5. Get to know your profs and how to survive them. Ask your upperclassmen for tips and help. It’ll make things easier.
  6. Don’t buy brand new books. Trust me, you’ll barely use those things. Buy used ones from your upperclassmen.
  7. Some profs have the same lecture for years! Go find out if your upperclassmen still have their notes! It’s great for recitations and you don’t have to keep up with note taking.
  8. Basically, befriend the upperclassmen.
  9. Don’t leave your umbrellas outside the library or TYK when it’s wet but you need to get in. Find a plastic bag to keep it in. There are people desperate enough to steal umbrellas. I’ve been a victim so take it from me.
  10. For girls: if you’re wearing shorts and want to get inside UST premises, the safest gate to go into is the P. Noval gate. They’ve become very strict with the dress code but not so much at P. Noval because there’s a church there and a lot of non-students use that gate.
  11. Join orgs! It makes your college life way better. Go out and explore, meet new people, have fun!
  12. Don’t put too much on your plate though. Balance is key. Remember, if your grades are bad and you get debarred your orgs will mean nothing.
  13. Attend UST events. You’re only a Thomasian student for 4 years, don’t miss out.
  14. Watch UAAP games. Not just basketball.
  15. When leaving UST, it’s best to be in groups. There are a lot of crime incidents along the four corners of UST. Although it’s safe inside, outside the gates is another story.

Well, that’s all I can come up with right now. Hope this helps, future Thomasians!

Euphoria 2013. Communication Arts Students’ Association’s night.

Drinks, loud music, dancing the night away. It was nice to let go a while. Pero mej nagulat mga kaibigan ko sakin, nakakahiya. Hahahaha. Had to take care of a few drunk friends. But that’s part of the experience, I guess.

I need more nights like this.

One hell of a night.

Christmas with my Circle Crew! Taken during our block’s Project X-mas! :)

My blog has been dead since I’ve been busy with school and Tiger Radio and events work with my sister.

I’ve been finding it hard to manage my time that my planner has gone to waste. I’ve only a few pages left to fill before 2012 ends and I don’t even have time to write down my appointments til it does.

Today I woke up groggily, body feeling beat up from yesterday. As always it took a lot of time and effort before I finally got myself up.

As I got to school my classmates were looking tired and one asked me how my paper went.

Of course I was stumped. What paper? What the fuck?!

And I found out we had a paper due today that I completely spaced out on. Nice job, Keixie.

It’s 7:15 and I have until 9:00 to finish this paper. I’m at a local computer shop cramming for my life. I have opened up a tab for youtube with Earthmover’s Ivered Ago to calm me and I’ve proceeded to writing this blog just to get everything out so that there will be minimum nerves when I write the fucking paper.

Funny how I needed a crisis just to get me blogging again.

Farewell for now for I have to write a paper about Philippine history and colonialism.

During Nikon’s stay in UST. They had workshops and everything. I didn’t go tho, was too busy :(

Running on 3 hours of sleep plus just had volleyball for PE and playing COD for about 2 hours. Ngarag me spending the opening of Paskuhan lights with SOLID 2CA3 and our original adviser, Ma’am Faye Martel. :)

Disappointed with the lights tho, not as special as last year. And the opening ceremony itself was a bit off. No matter, the tree looks amazing.

Paskuhan Vibes!

I found something new I’m passionate about: Radio.

This is my new goal: to be a radio jock for UST Tiger Radio. I don’t want to just produce the shows anymore.

Soon. :)

Guested for UST Tiger Radio’s Culture Shock today! Had a great time!

Tune in to Culture Shock only at the radio station where you hear the roar, UST Tiger Radio!

It’s days like these when I’m reminded why I joined this org! :)
